As first time home buyers, Andrea visited us at our rented apartment two years ago to help introduce us to the home buying process. She remained in touch for two years without being pushy until we were finally ready to proceed with buying our first house this fall. Andrea gave us unparalleled advice, once, that most realtors don't usually provide. She told me to walk out of buying a property that we loved because she did not think we were fairly treated. Because we loved this beautiful property, we tried for some time and eventually decided against proceeding. When the earnest money deposit check was not returned on time, she did not relent until she made sure we received it. Through her multiple connections, Andrea helped build a team of professionals that supported us along every step of the way. This included a recommendation to a mortgage broker, home inspection, lawyers, painting, plumbing, electrician. When I decided to go with a different lawyer or a different mortgage broker for financing due to better rates, she remained supportive and very understanding. She was patient with us until we found a second property that we are now proud to call home. Andrea, led the negotiations with the seller and his agent effectively. At times, she surprised me with concessions from the seller before I even knew she was trying. On home inspection day, she showed up with coffee for everyone, water, donuts, and muffins for our kids. She played with our two years old to give my wife a better chance to inspect the house. When the seller demanded we close in three weeks, she managed to keep everyone on the team on track until we closed on time. A Christmas gift bag for my two kids was waiting for us when we got the keys to the new house. She was always patient with our questions, even the not-so-bright ones. She never made us feel unwelcome or embarrassed. Not once did we feel pressured during the long and arduous process of buying our first home.So far, I spoke about what she did. Just in case the readers are interested in reading another positive review, here is mine:First of all, our decision as to whom to hire to list/sell our condo was a no brainer, as a former neighbor of ours had hired Andrea to sell theirs in October 2019 and were completely satisfied with the experience. When our turn came to sell, Andrea proved to be all care and support. From the very first day I called her in June 2020 all the way to the end of the process, even weeks/months after closing, her caring did not come to an end! In the first meeting we had, Andrea assured me and my wife that it would only take one week and one open house to sell. She turned out to be wrong - it actually took us less than 72 hours to sign the sales offer agreement from the time the listing was posted online :))) And it was sold above the asking price! Alise - thank you!! My fiancé and I were first timers in the home buying market, wanting to explore areas outside of the downtown Boston area. Alise was incredible in helping ease any of our anxieties about the entire process of looking for our first home, especially during a time when homes were going for way over asking, with little to no contingencies and we were not in the space to be able to necessarily compete with that. I felt like Alise knew what we wanted before we even did. She helped us narrow down suburbs outside of Boston (my fiance and I are both not from the area). Alise was pivotal in helping us find our first home, trying to also find creative ways to get us a competitive advantage for the homes we decided to put an offer on. I had heard from my friends horror stories of putting down 20+ offers during this time, and we only needed to put down 3 (losing only to all cash offers or no contingency offers). Alise always made sure we were comfortable in every step of the process, spending extra time explaining the process of homebuying, different and creative negotiation strategies, etc. She was clear with the expectations set, and made sure that we didn’t compromise on our priorities, budget, and the need for contingencies. Her goal was always to find us a home that we would feel comfortable in for years to come, not for a quick sale. Throughout the process, there were no surprises thanks to Alise. I was even in Mexico on a trip during our inspection, and she was there with my fiancé walking through the house as well and then looping me in after. The connections Alise and the Castinetti Group has with such great mortgage loan officers from Citizens (like Tania Thomas) and attorney Deb Thompson also made the entire closing process extremely smooth.
